Fireside Chat Winter Ale

Like FDR's Depression-era radio addresses, which were like a kick in the butt and a hug at the same time, our Fireside Chat is a subtle twist on the traditional seasonal brew. We begin with a rich, dark, English-style ale and then we improvise with spices until we know we have a beer worth sharing with the nation.

Fireside Chat is our winter seasonal brew on draft. Brewed like a classic, warming Strong Ale but with a subtle blend of hand-selected spices for just the right festive flair.

The Park Cafe Group is uber duper pleased to announce the newest addition to our family. After months of hounding, nagging, stalking, and showing up at the warehouse uninvited we finally got Catherine to say, "Yes!" Introducing Crepe and Brioche. Amazingly delicious and super fresh with only the finest ingredients made especially for DPC and our customers. Made with love.

Catherine and Jean-Claude Bunand, the bakers behind the unassuming Crepe and Brioche operation, seem to understand that the heart knows what the heart wants. The siren call of a chocolate-studded brioche is strong; the wail of an ephemeral piece of sugar brioche is irresistible.

"All our farmers' market customers had been begging us to open a retail business, and they always raved about the brioche," Catherine Bunand says. "I remember arguing with my husband. I thought, 'Everyone knows croissants, but I've always loved brioche.' It's so versatile, and Jean-Claude makes the most wonderful, light brioche dough. There's so much more we can do with brioche."

While there is also a lot to love beyond brioche (including mouthwateringly moist almond cake, fresh peach and blueberry tartlets, and flaky, sticky cinnamon twists) it's the namesake product - two parts pastry, one part bread - that rightfully gets star billing.

At Twenty-Four Blackbirds Chocolates we are inspired by traditional chocolate making techniques, and we endeavor to make artisanal confections that are truly hand-crafted. We first source raw, unroasted cacao beans from single origin estates, and then hand sort to remove any beans that are flawed or otherwise do not meet our strict standards of quality. We then develop roast profiles to accentuate the subtle, and often delicate, flavor characteristics inherent in beans from each origin. Our ingredients are then refined in a traditional stone melanger, tempered and hand-poured into molds. We make every effort to use the highest quality ingredients available, and our chocolate, made in Santa Barbara, California, is always prepared in small batches with no emulsifiers or additives.

DPC's Latte Art Throwdown. This ain't yo Grannie's cuppa Sanka boi. San Francisco's bad arse baristas bringing it to the streets for some action jackson July 7th @ 7pm at our very own Dolores Park Cafe. We got $3 premium drafts, $5 premium wines, $3 premium bottles for spectators. We got lattes, espresso, machiatos fo sho's Yo's. This is it. Prizes for top baristas and who knows what could go down in SF Town. And remember...pour then drink responsibly!

Zoe's Meats specialize in time-honored methods of delivering the finest cured meats in the bay area. Dolores Park cafe prides itself on hand picking vendors that have a love and understanding of natural and nitrite-free foods simply prepared.

Dolores Park Cafe serves Zoes knee slappin', toe tappin' delicious bacon made without sodium nitrite. The most important thing about this bacon, is how great it tastes. Smoked over real applewood chips, this bacon is truly unbelievable.

Zoe’s Natural Chicken Breast is packed with flavor, browned in oil to seal in the natural juices, and has a natural, meaty texture with no preservatives, no "forming", just a plain turkey breast. Zoe's personally makes it for us with love. I think they have a case of heart throb for us.

Our hot pastrami sandwich is made to absolute perfection. Zoe's brines two different pieces of beef (brisket=fatty and flat bottom round=lean) and then cover them with slivered black peppercorns. Finally it is smoked both over real hickory wood chips.

The fattier brisket is incredible in a hot pastrami sandwich while the leaner flat bottom round is perfect on a cold baguette.

Zoe's Meats are committed to sustaining this earth for our children to enjoy. They feel a strong responsibility to continually seek ways to reduce our environmental footprint.

San Franciscans work work work work. We work hard to pay for our $2500 a month junior one bedrooms and by gawdy gawd we deserve to reward ourselves. I know I have a few bucks I am willing to turn a blind eye to. What comes to mind? I can't hear you peeps. I mean it, this is serious business.

Yes, music to my ears. Ears for beers. We have taken on the challenge to become The San Francisco Beer Task Force and we are willing to take it for the team.

We at Dolores Park Cafe and Duboce Cafe offer cheapy cheap beer specials meant to put money back in your pockets. Beer is the new green, black, purple, colors of the rainbow, after all.

Everyday from 4-7 both of our cafe's are serving up some off the chart varieties of draft beers and wine.
Blue Moon, Lagunita IPA, 21st Amendment, Watermelon are just a few of the beers on our rotating taps. Drafts beers are a mere $3.50. Wine is a piddly 5'er. We told you, money right back into the pockets from which it came.

"Dolores Park Café coffeehouse boasts an art-savvy owner," Dolores Park residents Walt and Karen Padres described their favorite cafe and who are also self-described “cafe geeks.” The spot’s impeccable design shows its aesthetic cred: Set on a corner of residential 18th street and Dolores, with floor to ceiling windows opening out to a patio, a community table made of bamboo, deep red and brown accents, polished wood tabletops, and recycled artifacts, the café draws neighborhood writers, park go-ers, creative types and loads of neighborhood residents. But food trumps art here, say the Padres, who fell in love with the fresh fruit smoothies, soy cappuccino, and variety of organic salads and sandwiches from Zoe meats. Teas are from Mighty Leaf and assorted food stuffs hail from some of the best sources, in town and beyond: Breakfast pastries come from a variety of local vendors namely Mission Minis, Artisan bakery; Pepples vegan donuts to die for, an edible nod to Il Fornia and the list goes on from local and sustainable vendors.
